Can Miami reload both lines quickly enough to turn one title-game run into a standard?
Miami opens No. 6 nationally and No. 1 of 17 in the ACC. The 4M baseline rates the roster 20.3 points above an average FBS team on a neutral field and projects 8.3 regular-season wins.
Miami belongs in the championship conversation because the baseline expects control, not survival. Against most of the schedule, this roster should create an efficiency advantage without needing turnover luck or unsustainable red-zone results. The real evaluation begins when that advantage narrows against another top-15 team.
Mensah arrives to accelerate an offense still built around physical backs Mark Fletcher and CharMar Brown. The floor is high; the concern is whether replacement starters hold up against the best fronts.
